The Field is committed to fulfil our biblical, pastoral, and legal responsibilities to ensure that everyone in our church community is spiritually, emotionally, and physically safe.

Jesus taught us that the most important commandment is to love God above all, and then to love our neighbours.

God calls us to care for and protect children and other vulnerable people who participate in the life of our church.

The Field has zero tolerance for abuse, neglect, grooming, harassment, or the misuse of power by anyone in the church community.

If you become aware of any misconduct or abusive behaviour, it is essential that you report it. Any adult who reasonably believes that a child has been the victim of a sexual offence committed by another adult has both a moral and legal responsibility to notify police. In Victoria, failing to disclose this information to police is a criminal offence.

WHAT CAN I REPORT?

The Field welcomes reports on any matter including:

  • Concerns regarding inappropriate behaviour or misconduct by employees or volunteers

  • Violations of The Field policies, procedures, or codes of conduct

  • Concerns about the safety or wellbeing of children

  • Reports or disclosures relating to abuse, harm or bullying

  • Workplace health and safety concerns

  • Accidents, injuries, or significant incidents

  • Breaches involving personal or confidential information

  • Suspected fraud, theft, or financial irregularities

  • Any other concern, complaint, or grievance in the context of The Field ministries or activities

HOW CAN I REPORT?

If you are aware of concerns about the immediate safety of a child, contact the Police by calling 000.

A concern or complaint can be reported in any of the following ways: 

  1. Talk to a Field staff or Board member

  2. Submit a written report to The Field Board of Directors at board@thefield.church

  3. Contact Kooyoora, provider of external professional standards for the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, by calling 1800 135 246 or emailing contact@kooyoora.org.au
